This by far the cutest pattern I've made to date. I will not make the introduction long for the pattern itself is very long because of the Size Variations. I made sure that there is a hat pattern for everyone. Young and old both love a puppy, so without further adieu here it is.

R5-7. 1 SC in each stitch all the way around until the end. (24SC)
R8. 1 SC in each of the first 2 stitches SC DEC in next. * 1 SC each of the next 2 stitches, SC DEC in the next stitch.* Repeat all the way around until the end. ( 18 SC)
R9-14. 1 SC in each stitch all the way around until the end. (18 SC)
R15. 1 SC in the first stitch, SC DEC in next. * 1 SC in the next stitch, SC DEC in the next stitch.* Repeat all the way around until the end. ( 12 SC)
R16. 1 SC in each stitch all the way around until the end. (12 SC)
R17. 1 SC in the first stitch, SC DEC in next. * 1 SC in the next stitch, SC DEC in the next stitch.* Repeat all the way around until the end. ( 8 SC)
R18. 1 SC in each stitch all the way around until the end. (8 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
NOSE
Round 1. Make Magic Ring, CH 1. 2 SC, HDC, 5DC, CH1, 5 DC, HDC and 2 SC all into the ring. Join with a slip stitch in the first stitch. Close the ring tightly, join with a slip stitch in the first stitch. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
EYES (make 2)
Round 1. Make Magic Ring, CH1and 6 SC into the ring. Closed the ring tightly and join with a slip stitch in the first stitch. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
If you want a bigger eye, make 10 HDC into the ring.
PATCHES
SMALL PATCH
Round 1. Make Magic Ring, CH1and 6 SC into the ring. Closed the ring tightly and join with a slip stitch in the first stitch.
Round 2. CH1, 2 SC in the first stitch. HDC and DC in next, 2DC in the next 2 stitches,2 TR in next then 1 TR and 1 DC in next, 2 DC in next, 1 DC and 1 HDC in next. HDC and SC in next. 2 SC in each of the last 3 stitches. Join with a slip stitch in the first stitch. (12 stitches)
Round 3. CH1, 1 SC in the first stitch, 2 SC in next. * 1 SC in the next stitch, 2 SC in next.* Repeat all the way around. Join with a slip stitch in the first stitch. (24 SC) Fasten off and leave a long tail.
BIG PATCH
Round1. Magic ring. CH 2 and 12DC into the ring. Closed the ring tightly, join in the first HDC. (12DC)
Round 2. CH 2, 2 SC in the first stitch, 2HDC in next. 2 DC in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 TR in the next 2 stitches, 2 DC in the next 2 stitches. 2 HDC in next. 2 SC in the last 3 stitches. Join with a slip stitches in the first stitch. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Attach first the Ears, then the patches. Next is the eyes and nose. Then stitch your mouth just below the nose.
It is so hard to take pictures with children. I asked my kids to model the hat for me and they all agreed but I never got one decent picture.
It's safe to say this little one love the hat but she won't even sit still for a second.
